Process

How I work.

Every engagement follows the same five stages, whether the project takes one week or three months.

  1. Brief

    You send an initial enquiry through the contact form describing your project, timeline, and any constraints. I reply within a couple of days to confirm receipt and either schedule a discovery call or ask clarifying questions.

  2. Discovery

    A 30 to 45 minute call, on Zoom, Google Meet, or your platform of choice. We discuss the project in detail: goals, existing systems, constraints, and rough budget expectations. No cost, no commitment.

  3. Scope and quote

    I write a scope document and quote based on what we discussed. It covers deliverables, timeline, payment schedule, and any assumptions or dependencies. You review, we adjust as needed, and once agreed this becomes the working contract for the engagement.

  4. Design and build

    Work begins. Progress updates at agreed intervals, whether weekly written summaries, mid-project demo calls, or continuous access to a staging environment depending on project size. You have a direct line to me throughout, not a support portal.

  5. Launch and handover

    Deployment to your production environment, whether that is your web hosting, the Play Store, or your Apple Developer account. Handover includes any documentation needed to maintain or extend the work independently. A 30-day post-launch bug-fix warranty applies to anything that ships as part of the agreed scope.

The usual questions.

How long does a project take?

It depends entirely on scope. A single-page marketing site can ship in a week. A full mobile application MVP can take two to three months. We will scope and estimate before any work starts, and every quote comes with a realistic timeline that accounts for design, development, and review cycles.

What does it cost?

Pricing varies per project. Rather than list packages that never fit reality, I quote each engagement based on scope, complexity, and delivery timeline. Discovery calls are always free, and quotes come with no obligation.

Do you handle hosting and domains?

For websites, I can arrange hosting through Cloudflare Pages or Vercel at no additional cost during setup. Domain purchase and management is typically kept in your name so you retain ownership of the URL, but I can guide the process if you have not done this before.

Who owns the code?

You do. Full ownership of delivered code, designs, and assets transfers to you on final payment. I retain the right to display the work in my portfolio unless you specifically request otherwise, which is a reasonable request in some sensitive contexts.

Can you do iOS?

Yes, provided you have or are willing to open an Apple Developer account. The account currently costs 99 US dollars per year and is registered directly with Apple in your name. The account and store listing stay yours; I handle the build, testing, and submission preparation.

Can I hire you for AI training only, without building anything?

Yes. Consultancy and training are offered as standalone engagements. This includes team workshops on modern AI, prompt engineering guidance, local model deployment strategy, and general adoption support without any build attached.

What if I need changes after launch?

A 30-day bug-fix warranty covers anything that ships broken relative to the agreed scope. Feature changes, new work, or ongoing maintenance are quoted separately and can be handled ad-hoc or as a rolling retainer arrangement.

How do you handle sensitive data?

Client data shared with me during a project is treated as confidential and covered by both the Terms of Service and standard UK GDPR obligations. AI projects involving sensitive data can be built to run on local models or private cloud infrastructure where the situation requires it.

Are you a limited company?

Currently trading as Osirisborn Studio, a sole-trader working name based in the United Kingdom. Full business identity is disclosed on invoices and in the Terms of Service page linked in the footer.
